Walking Helped Me Lose Weight And Deal With My Disabilities

“Every day I can get up and say 'I can do this.'”

As a young woman who grew up as a child with special needs, travel has helped me to overcome obstacles that have pushed me back over the years and to become a more positive, healthy person.

Now as I travel, I have been able to meet some people who love to travel, and to make friends. Traveling has given me a lot to talk about, helping me meet different people — something that has always been difficult for me.

This journey started after I finished high school, when I realized I was overweight and decided I wanted to be better. I started walking for 30 minutes, three days a week and then started running for 30 minutes on days I did not walk. I began to see that I did not feel right when I skipped a trip or ran. I feel different every day in my physical and mental health.

I started using the billing app in 2019, and it helps me stay consistent. I’ve seen a difference with Charge in my motivation level — I walk and run every day except Sundays since I started using Charge. It really helped me to develop an effective exercise program.

On a typical day I get up early and start my day with exercise and walking. On cold days I would run indoors, and on warmer days I would enjoy the outdoors with family and friends. After I finish my journey I eat breakfast or eat a protein shake. This principle helps me to have something to look forward to: Every day I can get up and say “I can do this,” which keeps me going. Walking helps me to be less anxious, to have more goals, and to be happier.

Now I am better able to interact with others, to stay alert, and to keep learning diligently. Now I can help my parents, since I have the energy, energy, and motivation to do homework and other chores. Now I can help my brothers and sisters with their children, and sometimes I am a dog, too. I can do all these things because walking helps me to stay healthy and strong.

Now full details

I feel good about myself. Walking, running, and the Charge app have all helped me overcome many of the challenges I have faced throughout my life by dealing with some learning disability. Now I am more social, and I am better at talking and interacting with others. The best part is that now my family always tells me how hopeful and how it helps them.
